Matt Martin Joins Citizens Bank of Batesville (Movers & Shakers, Aug. 20, 2012)

Architecture
Ryan Utter has been hired at Witsell Evans Rasco as an intern architect. Utter recently earned a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Kansas.

Education
Amy Reed, Thomas Mobley and Terri Waites have been hired at Central Baptist College in Conway.

Reed joined the college as director of enrollment for non-traditional programs from First Security Bank, where she was a business development officer. Mobley is a personal admissions officer and will graduate from the college in the fall. Waites recently moved to Conway from Forney, Texas, and will serve as a financial aid administrative assistant.

Ranan Hester has joined her alma mater Harding University in Searcy as assistant dean of students in the Office of Student Life. Hester graduated from the university in 1986 and went on to earn her master’s in education from Southwest Baptist University in Missouri. Prior to the move, she taught in public schools for 19 years.

Engineering
Don Kite, Josi Lemke and Garrett Mikel recently joined ECCI, an engineering firm based in Little Rock. Kite returns to the company after four years as manager at Domtar Paper Production in Ashdown (Little River County). Lemke is new to Arkansas and a recent graduate of the University of Idaho with degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry. Mikel is an environmental scientist who taught at Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock before joining ECCI.

Financial Services
Matt Martin has joined Citizens Bank, headquartered in Batesville, as vice president and manager of the bank’s secondary market mortgage lending department. Prior to the move, Martin was assistant vice president of market operations at First Security Bank in Heber Springs.

Mike Brannon has been hired at First Community Bank of Cabot as vice president of commercial lending. Brannon has 18 years of experience in the banking industry with stints at First Security Bank, Bank of the Ozarks and, most recently, Arvest in Cabot.

Brent Howard has joined Wunderlich Securities in Little Rock as vice president. Howard served as a financial adviser at Morgan Keegan for 16 years before the move.

Health Care
Dr. John C. Sorg  has joined the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center as director of the hospitalist program. Sorg is board certified in internal medicine and has more than 20 years of experience in managing the care of hospitalized patients. He also has been certified as a diplomate by the National Board of Medical Examiners.
