Windstream Corp. Opens Virginia Data Center

1 min read

Windstream Corp. of Little Rock on Monday announced that its Hosted Solutions division has opened a 65,000-SF data center in Mclean, Va.

According to a news release, the center has 45,000 SF of raised floor space and will be used to store data for Windstream’s cloud-host clients.

“More than ever, organizations require the assurance that their data and infrastructure is secure, regardless of whether they are in the private or public sector,” Windstream’s senior vice president of data center operations, Kip Turco, said in the release. “This is especially true for those businesses that have chosen to locate some or all of their operations in the cloud.”

Windstream opened a similar data center in Little Rock earlier this year.

The 30,000-SF center, located at 15707 Chenal Parkway in Little Rock, provides cloud hosting and business services for clients in central Arkansas, as well as redundant data storage for other clients across the country.
