James Kimbrough To Lead Washington Regional Foundation (Super Mover)

As executive director at the Washington Regional Foundation, James Kimbrough will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s biggest operations and philanthropic efforts.

Background: Kimbrough earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Tulsa. After receiving a master’s degree in public administration and nonprofit management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, he achieved the Certified Fundraising Executive designation, a highly respected credential for fundraising professionals.

Kimbrough also serves as a member of the Leadership Fayetteville Class (sponsored by the city’s Chamber of Commerce) and stays active in the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, Association of Fundraising Professionals and Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement & Partnership in Philanthropic Planning.

Experience: Kimbrough joined the staff of the Washington Regional Foundation, the nonprofit supporting the activities of Washington Regional Medical Center, in 2004 and has served as the organization’s director of development for several years. He was recently recognized by Fundraising Success magazine for his role in raising more than $5.4 million for the Willard Walker Hospice Home.

He also played a crucial part in organizing the Summer Garden Party and the Harvest Brunch, two successful fundraising events hosted by Friends of Washington Regional Hospice.
