George Brothers Named Co-CEOs/Presidents of George’s Inc.

Carl and Charles George have been named co-CEOs/presidents of George’s Inc., the privately held poultry company in Springdale.

Executive duties will be split between the two brothers. Carl George will oversee live production and processing. Charles George will oversee sales, accounting, human resources, quality assurance and purchasing. 

Gary George will continue to serve as chairman of the privately held poultry company in Springdale. George’s was founded in 1920 and is in its fourth generation of family leadership. George’s was No. 12 on Arkansas Business’ most recent list of the state’s largest private companies, and its revenue for 2012 is estimated at $900 million.

“Our family built this company with an uncompromising dedication to quality,” said Gary George. “We have always been committed to treating our customers, employees, and independent contract growers with respect, honesty and loyalty. Those same values will continue to guide our company as the fourth generation leads George’s.”

Both Carl and Charles are University of Arkansas graduates and have worked with the company since 1997. They joined the executive team in 2009 and have serves as senior vice presidents since that time.

Charles George sits on the board of directors for the Arkansas Poultry Federation and the U.S. Poultry and Egg Association. He’s a member of the National Chicken Council.

Carl George serves on the Board of Directors for the National Chicken Council and is a member of the U.S Poultry & Egg Association.  He also serves on the Crystal Bridges Young Patrons Steering Committee and the Downtown Springdale Alliance, and he is Vice Chairman of the Springdale Athletic Foundation Board.
