Jerry C. Jones, Acxiom Corp.’s executive vice president and chief ethics and legal officer, has been elected to an at-large position of the board of directors of international nonprofit Heifer International of Little Rock.
Jones, a member of Little Rock-based information services company, is responsible for Acxiom’s legal and privacy teams and leads the strategy and execution of mergers and alliances, among other duties.
Jones also developed the strategy and led the Acxiom expansion efforts in Australia, Japan, China, Europe, Brazil, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. He joined Acxiom in 1999.
Heifer, which aims to battle hunger and poverty throughout the world, also elected others to its board:
- Andrew Bartlett, of Kentucky, as a Covenant Agency Director representing the Presbyterian Hunger Program
- Nikolaus Hutter, from Toniic Europe in Vienna, Austria
- Pete Kappelman, dairy farmer from Two Rivers, Wisconsin, co-owner of Meadow Brook Dairy Farms, LLC
- Esther Cohen, Covenant Agency Committee member, of New Jersey, chief operating officer for Episcopal Church
Heifer International’s board is comprised of 19 members in the business, agriculture, academic, faith-based and private sectors.
