Scooter Stuart Mansion Goes Back to the Bank

1 min read

Did you know the former home of Layton “Scooter” Stuart recently became bank property?

Ownership of the 12,350-SF mansion in west Little Rock’s gated Hickory Creek neighborhood was transferred from Stuart’s widow, Tommye, to One Bank & Trust on Jan. 7.

We’re told the Little Rock lender will take formal possession on Feb. 1. The property will be marketed for sale in the coming weeks.

The grand residence secured more than $1.5 million of debt held by One Bank, which Stuart once controlled and where he once held the titles of chairman and chief executive officer.

His forced ouster by regulators in September 2012 was followed by his death in March 2013. The ensuing federal investigation outlined an alleged case of systemic self-dealing and mismanagement by Stuart, who used One Bank funds to pay for the high life of his family.
