LITTLE ROCK — Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor’s campaign says it’s removing portions of online campaign videos that were shot on property destroyed in a tornado after the property owner said he was misled about the use of the footage.
Doug Boydston complained Tuesday about the video featuring footage shot on the Mayflower RV property destroyed by a deadly tornado in April. He says he wasn’t told it would be used as a political attack against Republican challenger and U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton. Cotton’s campaign released a letter Boydston sent complaining about the video.
Pryor’s campaign said it would edit Boydston’s property out of the video, but says it told Boydston from the outset it wanted to use his property to interview Mayflower’s mayor and talk about Cotton’s past votes against disaster relief.
