The Little Rock area ranks 259th among 382 metro areas in the United States in share of households with broadband coverage — 78.8 percent — putting it in the bottom third, according to Metroplan.
That showing is, however, enough to put it ahead of the northwest Arkansas metro area, which ranks toward the bottom: 377th with 64.6 percent of households having broadband.
The information is contained in “2017 Economic Review & Outlook,” which examines the economy of the Little Rock-North Little Rock-Conway Metropolitan Statistical Area. Metroplan, the planning agency for central Arkansas, released the report in December.
