Arkansas Laminating Buys Unit Structures Assets in Magnolia

Arkansas Laminating LLC of Magnolia said this week that it has acquired the manufacturing assets of the Unit Structures LLC plant in the south Arkansas city.

Financial terms of the deal, which closed March 15, were not disclosed. Arkansas Laminating, which purchased the assets from the Raleigh, N.C.-based company, said it will continue the business at Unit Structures' 1012 Shanhouse Blvd. location.

Unit Structures offers custom manufacturing of laminated timber architectural products found in many public facilities in Arkansas, Texas and other states.

"We look forward to providing the quality of service and products for which Unit Structures was once known," Gary L. Burley, the president of Arkansas Laminating, said in a news relase.

"Our employees, our customers, our vendors and others with whom Arkansas Laminating will be working with can rest assured that our business will be conducted as it should."

Arkansas Laminating said it did not assume any Unit Structures liabilities.

Arkansas Laminating offers design, engineering and fabrication of glued-laminated structural systems. Its glulam arches, beams and columns are used for the superstructures of commercial, recreational, religious, educational and industrial buildings.
