Elizabeth Bintliff of Little Rock, who was among Arkansas Business' "40 Under 40" honorees in 2010, has been promoted to vice president of Heifer International's Africa Area Program.
She was previously a regional director for the Africa program. She will now manage a portfolio of more than $10 million in 12 countries.
A native of Cameroon, Bintliff joined Heifer in 2000 as the regional assistant in Atlanta. She earned a bachelor's degree in international affairs from Kennesaw State University in Georgia, and has a master's degree in African studies from Yale University. She studied Swahili as a Fulbright Scholar in Zanzibar and worked with GlobalLearn International in South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania. Bintliff also holds a master's certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is a graduate of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Arkansas program.
