Movers & Shakers (April 2, 2012)

Brian and Elizabeth Walker of Horatio (Sevier County) and Kirk Meins of Stuttgart have been appointed to the Arkansas Farm Bureau's Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee. The Walkers will serve as co-chairman and co-chairwoman, and Meins will serve as vice chairman.

Larry Horn has been named manager of operations and quality control of El Dorado's Anthony Forest Products Co. Horn previously served as plant manager of Bean Lumber Co. in Glenwood.

El Dorado native Jennifer K. Wylie has been named to the board of directors of Simmons First Bank of El Dorado. Wylie is the executive adviser of HOPE Landing Inc., a nonprofit that serves children with disabilities and their families.

Matt Bonaminio has been hired as an account executive for Little Rock investment firm Crews & Associates Inc. Bonaminio will work with institutional clients, including banks, trusts, investment managers and insurance companies, to execute fixed-income strategies.

Elizabeth Bowles, president of Aristotle Inc. of Little Rock, has been appointed to the Arkansas State Banking Board by Gov. Mike Beebe. Bowles succeeds Creed Spann, and her term extends until 2017.

Health Care
Andy Core, a motivational speaker based in Fayetteville, has been selected as one of the Speakers Platform's top five speakers in the health care industry. The Speakers Platform is a nationwide speakers bureau based in Palm Springs, Calif. Core was chosen due to his expertise, professionalism, presentation skills and original contribution to the field, as well as through a public vote.

Timothy P. Staley, senior vice president of Comfort Systems USA Energy Services, has been designated as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager by the American Hospital Association Certification Center. "I believe [this designation] demonstrates our commitment to better understand the challenges facing health care facilities today," Staley said. "Ultimately, it may better enable us to be a better business partner for health care facilities."

Dante Kellerman and Ashley Floyd have been hired as client accounting coordinators at communications, marketing and advertising agency Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods of Little Rock. Kellerman will be responsible for media, accounts payable and special projects, and Floyd will be responsible for production accounts payable and client billing.

Jon Holcomb of Little Rock has been promoted to senior account executive at Mangan Holcomb Partners. Holcomb has been with the company since 2006 and works with groups such as the Department of Arkansas Heritage, Metropolitan National Bank, Delta Plastics, Greenway Equipment Inc. and RiceTec Inc.

Nan Plummer and Danelle Laumeyer have joined the Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation as senior and associate development officers, respectively. Plummer is the former executive director of the Arkansas Arts Center, and Laumeyer was a senior income development representative with the American Cancer Society in Chicago.

Nelda Gray was recently awarded an honorary lifetime membership in the Paris Area Chamber of Commerce, and Jim Loyd was honored for his service to the chamber from 2003-12. Tim Blaschke was also recognized for his work as chairman of the chamber's website development committee.
