Heifer International, the nonprofit organization working to eradicate hunger and poverty globally through agricultural programs, filed its IRS Form 990 for fiscal 2011 last month.
Heifer’s total revenue for fiscal 2011, which ended June 30, was $127.6 million, a bump of nearly $5 million from 2010.
Of the $127.6 million total, 61 percent came from individuals’ contributions. The organization’s expenses for 2011 were $117.6 million.
In November and December of 2010, new CEO Pierre Ferrari was paid a salary of $43,612, plus about $6,000 in other compensation.
