Renee Bentley is the new director of Huntington Learning Center of Little Rock. Bentley has a bachelor's of science degree in early childhood education from the University of Central Arkansas and has 13 years of experience at another private tutoring center.
Darla York, owner and pharmacist at Salem Drug Store, has been appointed to the board of trustees of Ozarka College at Melbourne.
Kelly Vanlandingham, a civil engineer, and Jamie Bryant, a computer-assisted designer, have joined ECCI of Little Rock. Vanlandingham has more than 20 years of experience working as an engineer for local and state governments in Arkansas.
Randa L. Edwards and Jessica A. Williams have been promoted to vice president by Simmons First National Corp. of Pine Bluff. Edwards, who is a VP in the corporate executive office, joined Simmons in 1983 and currently holds the position of office manager for the corporate executive office. Williams, a CPA, joined the company in 2002 as an auditor and is now VP in the audit group.
Jennifer James has joined the Thoma Thoma advertising agency in Little Rock as a senior account manager, and Angie McClure has been hired as an account coordinator. James is a Little Rock native who has returned after nearly a decade in northwest Arkansas, where she graduated from the University of Arkansas and worked for Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods. McClure is a UA graduate who worked as a summer intern for Thoma Thoma.
Martha Matthews Kirspel of General Properties of North Little Rock has been elected president of the Greater Little Rock chapter of the Building Owners & Managers Association for 2011-12. Other BOMA officers and board members are Jennifer Lester of Union Plaza Commercial Real Estate, vice president; Rebekah Gray of Colliers International, treasurer; Cheryl White of Flake & Kelley Commercial, treasurer-elect; Melinda Martin of PlazaWest Building, past president and membership chair; Blake Grappe of Uretek ICR Mid-South, communications chair; Catherine Mulkey of Arkansas Building Authority, education chair; Betty Donovan of Little Rock Medical Associates, golf tournament chair; Rich Riley of Otis Elevators, associates chair; Anne Laidlaw of Arkansas Building Authority, awards chair; and Roger Lacy of Laidlaw & Lacy, advocacy chair. Teri Monohan is executive director of the chapter.
