J. Warren Casey has been named dean of the College of Arts & Humanities at Harding University in Searcy. Casey will also serve as dean of the Honors College. He currently is the chair of the Department of Music. The previous dean of the College of Arts & Humanities, Dennis Organ, will be retiring. Greg Davenport has been named academic director for Harding's Physician Assistant Program. Davenport is an assistant professor in the program and formerly worked as an emergency medicine physician assistant with Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver.
Alan Mantooth has received the Arkansas Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Achievement Award for research from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. Mantooth is a distinguished professor of electrical engineering and the 21st Century Chair in Mixed-Signal IC Design & CAD at the College of Engineering. Marty Matlock received the Distinguished Faculty Achievement Award for service. Matlock is a professor of biological and agricultural engineering at the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food & Life Sciences and at the College of Engineering. Robert Stapp received the Distinguished Faculty Achievement Award for teaching. Stapp is an associate professor of economics at the Sam M. Walton College of Business. John Pijanowski received the Charles & Nadine Baum Faculty Teaching Award for 2010. Pijanowski is an associate professor of educational leadership in the College of Education & Health Professions.
Jennifer Harmon has joined Terracon as a project manager. She will serve in the regulatory compliance department at the firm's Little Rock office.
Charlie Blanchard has been named 2011-12 chairman of the Arkansas Bankers Association. Blanchard is chairman and CEO of First State Bank in Russellville. John Freeman has been named chairman-elect. Freeman is president of Liberty Bank of Arkansas in Jonesboro. David Bartlett has been named vice chairman. Bartlett is president and COO of Simmons First National Corp. in Pine Bluff. Mark Ferguson has been named treasurer. Ferguson is executive vice president of First Security Bancorp in Little Rock.
Lawson Baker has joined Crews & Associates Inc. of Little Rock as the newest Capital Markets Group associate. Baker previously practiced as a transactional bond attorney and as an intern in the financial services industry. Adam Bell, Scott Bacon, Lance Wilcox, Reed Willet and Alonzo Williams have also joined the firm as account executives. Bell previously worked for Nationwide Insurance and Virco Manufacturing. Bacon is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in business administration finance. Wilcox previously worked as the territory manager of Arkansas and Oklahoma for Wilson Sporting Goods. Willet worked in the restaurant industry before joining the firm, and Williams previously worked for Metropolitan National Bank where he was manager of the Metropolitan Tower branch in Little Rock.
Robb Fiser has joined Arvest Bank in Little Rock at the West Markham location as a private banking officer. Fiser had been an associate broker with Irwin Partners in Little Rock since 2005.
Charlie Roberts has been promoted to vice president with Morgan Keegan & Co. Inc. headquartered in Memphis. Roberts is a fixed income banker in the firm's Little Rock office.
Dr. Ryan Brenza has joined the NEA Baptist Clinic Trumann Family Practice in Trumann. Brenza specializes in family medicine and has more than five years of experience in emergency medicine and urgent care.
Shelly Lane has been named the major gifts officer of the Arkansas Foodbank in Little Rock. Lane has previously served as president of the Foodbank's board and received the Individual Hunger Hero Award in 2010.
David Zakrzewski and Dan C. Young are the newest board members of CareLink in North Little Rock. Zakrzewski is president and chief executive officer of Coulson Oil in North Little Rock. Young is an attorney with the Rose Law Firm in Little Rock.
Julie Arnold has joined American Data Network in Little Rock as a marketing assistant. Arnold previously worked for Healthport, based in Alpharetta, Ga., as a service specialist in Arkansas.
