Agriculture
Celise Weems is the new safety coordinator in the Organization and Member Programs Department at Arkansas Farm Bureau in Little Rock. Weems will assist in developing safety policies and conducting safety activity programs for schools, civic clubs and other organizations. She received a master's of science degree in agricultural economics and served as president of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources & Related Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Education
Aimee Jones has been named programs abroad coordinator in the Office of International Services at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Jones earned her master of arts degree from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., and also interned there in the Office of International Education & Development. She has studied abroad in Sydney, Australia.

Jeff Harmon has been hired as director of marketing and communications at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, effective Oct. 18. Harmon will direct the efforts of the marketing and communications office, which includes a staff of 11 graphic artists and designers, editors, photographers, student assistants and interns. He has a master's degree in business administration from Arizona State University in Tempe, where he served four years in a similar position.

Financial Services
Tom Mack has been named as a managing director for JHS Capital Advisors' wealth management division in Little Rock. Mack will be responsible for working with clients and recruiting/managing financial advisors in the Southeast region. He previously served as a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and was also a branch manager supervising more than 35 financial advisers with over $2.5 million in assets.

Government
Keith Jackson, the chief of the Greenwood Police Department, was elected president of the Arkansas Association of Chiefs of Police at the organization's recent convention in Hot Springs.

Terry Granderson has been named the new assistant director of the Arkansas Public Schools Academic Facilities & Transportation Division of the Arkansas Department of Education in Little Rock. Granderson has been with the division since its inception in 2005 and was previously senior project administrator. He was with the Arkansas Department of Health for 12 years as the director of the inspections heating, ventilation and air conditioning inspection.  

Health Care
Cristiano Boneti has joined the department of surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences at Little Rock as instructor of surgery. Boneti will see patients in the Women's Cancer Clinics at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. He specializes in diseases of the breast and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Legal
Cathy Underwood was recently presented with the National Association of Legal Secretaries Foundation Scales of Justice Award. Underwood's state chapter, the Association of Arkansas Legal Support Professionals nominated her for the honor. The award recognizes people who improve the access to justice, improve the quality of legal services, promote the legal profession, and support the community where they work. She has also won the NALS Award of Excellence, the highest honor a NALS member can achieve.  She is currently the paralegal instructor at Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock.

Media/Marketing
Kristie Olson has been named sales and marketing manager for the Arkansas Lighthouse for the Blind, a Little Rock nonprofit that employs individuals who are blind and visually impaired in Little Rock. Olson has previously worked in outside sales and marketing for technology, communications, transportation and food brokerage businesses.

Nonprofits
Craig Wilson is the new acting executive director at Ballet Arkansas in Little Rock for the 2010-11 season. Before returning to Arkansas late last year, Wilson spent two years as the cast lead singer aboard Holland America Line's Veendam and Rotterdam ships. He graduated from Lyon College at Batesville and the Georgia State University's College of Law and the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, both in Atlanta.

Real Estate
Larry Moffitt has joined Brawley & Associates Real Estate in Greers Ferry as a sales associate.

Technology
David Baker was announced as the new vice president of product/solution management by Acxiom Corp. of Little Rock's global multichannel marketing services in Little Rock. He was the vice president of  customer relationship technology solutions for Razorfish in San Francisco before joining Acxiom.
