Monday is the last day tickets for the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal's annual 40 Under 40 luncheon will be made available. Tickets will not be sold at the event, which will be held Tuesday.
Pro Football Hall-of-Famer Roger Staubach is the keynote speaker and there will be a special announcement from the Northwest Arkansas Council made by Mark Simmons, chairman of Simmons Foods Inc. of Siloam Springs, and Mike Malone, executive director of the Council.
Staubach played for the Dallas Cowboys from 1969 to 1979, starting at quarterback for the last eight seasons. He passed for more than 22,000 yards and threw 153 touchdowns during his career, which also included 20 rushing touchdowns.
Staubach went to the Pro Bowl six times and led Dallas to victories in Super Bowls VI and XII before being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. Staubach won the Heisman Trophy at Navy in 1963, then spent four years on active duty, including service in Vietnam, before starting his pro career.
The Staubach Co., a commercial real estate advisory company based in Addison, Texas, merged with Jones Lang LaSalle of Chicago in July of 2008. JLL is also a commercial real estate firm but has global reach. Staubach is now executive chairman for JLL. The Staubach Co. had reported revenue of $414 million in 2006 and about 1,400 employees.
The event will be held at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
