Son of Curt Bradbury Dies of Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound
Cameron Bradbury, the 24-year-old son of Curt Bradbury, chief operating officer of Stephens Inc., died Friday afternoon of what the family says was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
According to a statement issued by Stephens Inc., emergency responders were called to Curt Bradbury's Little Rock home about noon on Friday, where Cameron Bradbury was found with a gunshot wound to the head.
He was taken to St. Vincent Infirmary, where he underwent surgery but died about 4:30 p.m.
"Cameron Bradbury had a history of substance abuse, and in recent years had undergone extensive treatment and rehabilitation," according to the statement.
On behalf of the family, Curt Bradbury made the following comments:
"Drug abuse affects all of us. Today it has impacted my family beyond anything we could ever imagine. This should be a reminder to all of us that we must re-dedicate ourselves as a society, and as individuals, to stop this national epidemic."
Funeral arrangements were not complete, Stephens Inc. spokesman Frank Thomas said.
