Lanny Tillery of Whirlpool Corp. in Benton was inducted into the Society of Honored Associates of the National Association of Home Builders. Induction into the society serves to recognize associate members for exemplary association service, outstanding contributions on the local, state and national levels of the homebuilding industry and civic responsibility.

Tom Kennedy of Little Rock has been appointed to the Arkansas Tech University board of trustees by Gov. Mike Beebe.

Lester P. Monts, senior vice provost for academic affairs and professor of music at the University of Michigan, is being inducted into Arkansas Tech University's Hall of Distinction in the distinguished alumni category. Monts, a Little Rock native, was the first African-American to live on the Arkansas Tech campus in Russellville and played a key role in preparing the University of Michigan's 2003 affirmative action case before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Richard A. Harper was recently named vice chair for education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Harvey & Bernice Jones Eye Institute in Little Rock. In the new position, Harper will coordinate the educational activities in the department of ophthalmology. He will also direct community and graduate education support by the institute faculty and will continue in his positions as tenured professor of ophthalmology, residency program director and director of the Low Vision Clinic.

Richard Burnett of Gassville has been reappointed by Gov. Mike Beebe to the Arkansas Development Finance Authority board of directors.

Robert "Sonny" Jones Jr. of Monticello has been appointed by Gov. Mike Beebe to the Arkansas Development Finance Authority board of directors.

Tommy Hignight has been hired as vice president of lending by Centennial Bank in Cabot. He previously worked as senior vice president for First State Bank of Lonoke. Janet Morden has been promoted to vice president of the lending department at Centennial in Cabot. She previously worked as assistant vice president for lending. Greg Stewart has been hired as training director for Centennial and will work at both the Conway and Cabot training facilities. He previously was director of education for the PRSM Association in Dallas. Lance Turner has been hired as vice president of lending by Centennial in Jacksonville. He previously served as vice president for First State Bank of Lonoke.

Mark Hoffpauir has been promoted to executive vice president of lending at Heartland Community Bank of Bryant. He was previously senior vice president and commercial lender.

Health Care
L. John Greenfield Jr. has been named chairman of the department of neurology in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He is leaving positions as tenured professor and vice chair for research in the Department of Neurology and tenured professor in the Department of Physiology & Pharmacology at the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Ohio.

Amy Lasseigne, graphic designer and marketing coordinator for Wittenberg Delony & Davidson in Little Rock, has been elected as the 2010 chairman of the Arkansas Ovarian Cancer Coalition board. Carrie Bumgardner of Bryant has been elected as 2010 vice chairman of the board. The coalition is a nonprofit organization that works to help save lives by educating the public on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and on ovarian cancer research.


Karen Mullikin has been promoted to senior vice president of travel and tourism at Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods in Little Rock. She was previously an account supervisor for the agency's Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism account.

Jason Rogers has been promoted to art director at the Sells Agency in Little Rock. Rogers was previously an associate art director. Lauren Carrigan has been promoted from junior copywriter to copywriter, and Allison Drennon has been promoted from account coordinator to associate account executive at the agency.

Casey Wormington has been hired as an account coordinator by the Sells Agency in Fayetteville. She previously worked as a retail print coordinator for O' Reilly in Springfield, Mo.

Real Estate
Eva Moser has been hired by Crye-Leike Realtors in Springdale as an executive broker. She previously worked as a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Harris McHaney Faucette in Rogers.

Robert Richardson has been hired as a real estate agent by Crye-Leike Realtors in Little Rock. Before joining Crye-Leike, Richardson worked as a management assistant for Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Little Rock.
