Did you know that a $17 million development is in motion in midtown Little Rock?
St. Mark Baptist Church plans to break ground May 15 for a 3,000-seat sanctuary near the northwest corner of 12th Street and Fair Park Boulevard.
The congregation hopes to move by Christmas 2011 into the 80,000-SF facility, which will become the showpiece of its 13-acre campus.
That pending construction activity will result in the demolition of the National Plaza project at 5600 W. 12th St. and a string of small structures along the west side of Fair Park between 10th and 11th streets.
We understand the development team includes Nabholz Construction Corp. of Conway and Lewis Architects Engineers of Little Rock.
St. Mark's new construction project launched a $3.5 million redevelopment in North Little Rock.
Arkansas Hospice Inc. bought a 28,000-SF office-warehouse property at 14 Parkstone Circle for nearly $2 million.
The seller? Blansett Pharmacal Co., led by Larry Blansett.
Arkansas Hospice will transform the facility into its corporate headquarters, home to a staff of 164 with service locations in Batesville, Cabot, Conway, Hot Springs, Monticello, Pine Bluff and Russellville.
The nonprofit organization is a tenant at National Plaza.
