Little Rock Web developer, marketing firm and Internet service provider Aristotle Inc. has taken steps to slim down.
The company confirmed a 10 percent companywide salary cut. Aristotle said it took that action to avoid layoffs, adding that the cut was the last book-balancing step it expected to take.
The company also confirmed that much of its economic battering has resulted from large tourism clients slashing their advertising budgets.
Aristotle said 70 percent of its tourism clients had hacked ad budgets between 20 and 30 percent.
On another note, J.D. Robinson, considered to be part of the founding Aristotle crew, is leaving the company. His last day will be Sept. 11.
Robinson did not return a call seeking comment.
