Rex A. Bouldin of Jones & Co. Ltd. in Jonesboro has been selected to receive the2008 Mac Angel Discussion Leader of the Year award from the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants of Little Rock. Bouldin has 32 years of experience in public accounting and joined Jones & Co. in 2007.
Washington County Assessor Lee Ann Kizzar has been elected president of the Arkansas Assessors Association.
Gus Blass III, chairman of the board of St.Vincent Health System of Little Rock, has been selected as trustee of the year by Modern Healthcare. Blass has served on St. Vincent's board of directors intermittently for the past 20 years.
Carolyn Joyce, tour and travel sales manager for the Fort Smith Convention & Visitors Bureau, was named hospitality manager of the year by the Arkansas Hospitality Association.
Sara Baruth, who runs the front desk and sales for Best Western-Eureka Inn at Eureka Springs, was been named hospitality employee of the year. John Ralston, director of the Arkansas South Tourism Association at El Dorado, received the silver cup award for outstanding commitment to Arkansas tourism. Jack Moyer, general manager of the 1886 Crescent Hotel and the 1905 Basin Park Hotel, both at Eureka Springs, and the 1929 Hotel Seville at Harrison, was presented with the golden key award for the Arkansas hotelier of the year.
Ed David, owner of The Faded Rose restaurants in Little Rock, received the "Salut au Restaurateur" award as Arkansas restaurateur of the year. Nancy Clark, assistant tourism director for the Arkansas Department of Parks & Tourism, was inducted into the Arkansas Hospitality Hall of Fame, along with Michael Dandurand, who recently retired from the Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods ad agency in Little Rock, and Cari White of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Jennifer Stanley of Conway has been promoted to vice president of Cornerstone Insurance Group of Little Rock. Stanley will be responsible for client satisfaction, marketing and analyzing group insurance products and monitoring HIPPA and COBRA compliance.
