In other sports known for their fast legs, the UALR men's basketball team secured its fourth Sun Belt win off the season with a breath-taking 59-57 victory over Louisiana-Monroe. The Trojans are 12-5 overall.
It just wasn't the night for Louisiana-Monroe as the Lady Trojans also got their fourth conference win by defeating the Lady Warhawks, 68-60. Like their male counterparts, the Lady Trojans also possess an overall 12-5 record. The Lady Trojans haven't lost a game at the Jack Stephens Center since Jan. 20, 2007.
The Arkansas Lady'Backs continued their winning ways with a decisive 63-49 win over Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Despite the team's 16-2 record, it was the first SEC victory for the Lady'Backs this season.
Dickey Nutt's Arkansas State Indians suffered a setback in Denver as the Pioneers prevailed 59-52. Despite trailing by 12 points at halftime, the Indians had pulled within a point twice during the second half.
