Businesses to Meet with UALR Grads

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock's College of Business is launching a new concept Wednesday that will allow businesses to meet with prospective employees.
The college is holding a "spring mixer" reception from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday in the atrium of the Reynolds Business Building. More than 30 firms will meet with the college's top 100 students, who are graduating this summer and fall.
From 6-7 p.m., students will have five-minute sessions with company representatives, and a mixer for continued interaction will follow.
Companies that attend the event will receive a booklet with information about each of the 100 students who attend. Dr. Steve Edison, director of the Center for Professional Sales in the College of Business, coordinated the first-time event.
Among the companies scheduled to attend are Wal-Mart Stores Inc., Alltel Corp., US Bank, Twin City Bank, Stewart Title of Arkansas, Metropolitan Bank, Crews & Associates, Acxiom Corp., the Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department.
