The board is comprised of Larry Bittle, an agent with State Farm Insurance Cos.; John A. Cooper III, president of Cooper Communities Inc. of Rogers; Matt Duffy, owner of Twin Rivers Group Inc. of Fayetteville; Kirk Dupps, former Arkansas Game and Fish commissioner; Greg Lee, chief administrative officer and international division president for Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale; Jerry Maland, chairman of Community First Bank of Harrison; Reece Parham, CPA; Neal Pendergraft, lawyer and development investor; Beverly Schaffer, former commissioner of the Arkansas Securities Department; Larry Shackelford, CEO of Fayetteville's Medical Associates of Northwest Arkansas P.A.; Todd Simmons, president of Simmons Foods Inc. of Siloam Springs; Ron Strother, chief operating officer of Home Bancshares of Conway; and Gary Head, chairman and CEO of Signature Bank of Arkansas.

Signature is the last in a series of startup banks in northwest Arkansas to open its doors. It officially began banking on May 9 and operates out of a temporary office at 2901 Zion Road in Fayetteville. Other offices are planned for Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville.
Signature Bank's holding company, White River Bancshares, attracted more than $44 million in startup capital from investors that include Community First Bancshares of Harrison and Home BancShares Inc. of Conway.
Harrell Bancshares Inc. of Camden, which sold the charter of its First Bank of South Arkansas to White River Bancshares, is also an investor.
