Harriet and Warren Stephens have been named honorary chairpersons for 2004 Tabriz fund-raiser for the Arkansas Arts Center.
Warren Stephens, the Little Rock financier who is chairman, president and CEO of Stephens Inc., is chairman of the Arkansas Arts Center Foundation.
Presented by the Fine Arts Club of Arkansas, Tabriz is the Art Center Foundation's primary fund-raiser. The two-night biennial event begins with a casual silent auction on March 3. More than 1,200 Arkansas Arts Center patrons will be able to bid on more than 700 items.
The Tabriz black tie gala takes place March 5 with live and silent auctions of art, jewelry, antiques, home decor, accessories and more. KTHV-TV, Channel 11 sports anchor Craig O'Neill will be the auctioneer.
Tabriz tickets are available only to AAC members and donors. Tickets to the March 3 event and silent auction are $35 each. Tickets for the black tie gala on March 5 are $250 each.
Since 1971, Tabriz has raised more than $4.2 million for the AAC Foundation Acquisitions Fund and education programs of the Arkansas Arts Center.
