Southland Greyhound Park of West Memphis this week gave more than $380,000 generated by greyhound racing to city and county officials and youth organizations.
Southland general manager Barry Baldwin presented:
• $151,394.43 to the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Memphis and other nonprofit organizations providing youth services.
• $151,394.43 to the Crittenden County general fund.
• $78,449.88 to the West Memphis general fund.
The check to West Memphis is the city's share of odd-cents breakage from wagering at the track during the second half of 2000, Greyhound said. The other checks are from uncashed winning tickets from the first half of the 2000 racing season.
