Micah Whorton has been hired at BRR Architecture Inc. in Bentonville as an architectural intern. Whorton recently graduated with a bachelor's in architecture from Drury University in Springfield, Mo.
Nathan Gairhan has been confirmed by federal regulators as CEO of United Bank of Springdale after having been named president earlier this year.
Melissa Barber, Michael Coleman and Garianne Smith have been promoted to consumer banking officers at Simmons First National Bank, headquartered in Pine Bluff. All currently serve as branch managers at banks in the Little Rock area. Barber has been with the bank since 2005. Coleman joined the bank in 2002 and Smith was hired in 2009.
Dr. Robert Hornbeck, a pediatrician in Jonesboro for 15 years, is now practicing at ARcare in Jonesboro and will also treat patients at the group's clinic in Augusta. Hornbeck received his medical degree from Wake Forest University's Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., in 1985, and then completed his pediatric residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Arkansas Children's Hospital.
Dennis Moore, Dana Woods and Brandon Cooper have been installed as leaders of the Arkansas Pharmacists Association. Moore, who serves as the director of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences North Central Area Health Education Center in Batesville, was installed as president, Woods of Woods Pharmacy & Soda Fountain in Mountain View as president-elect and Cooper of Soo's Drug & Compounding Center in Jonesboro as vice president. Other officers and directors include Brent Panneck, Kristy Reed, Chris Allbritton, Stephen Carroll, C.A. Kuykendall, Casey McLeod, Kristen Riddle, Jim Griggs and student members Andy Roller and Jackie Dabbour.
Greg Henderson has been hired as marketing manager at Power Technology Inc. of Alexander. He formerly was with Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions of Little Rock.
Shelby Woods recently received the Silver Medal Award from the American Advertising Federation for his contributions to the industry. Woods is chairman emeritus of Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods of Little Rock.
Kenney Kinley has joined Edafio Technology Partners of Little Rock as vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to the move, Kinley was a senior director at Vestcom International in Little Rock. He also spent 15 years at Acxiom Corp. in various positions and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a degree in business administration.
