KARK-TV, Channel 4, has replaced Dave Woodman, longtime producer of KARK’s Community Service Awards, with reporter Jancey Sheats.
Woodman retired July 27 after working on CSA for most of the 35 years it has existed. He produced the awards show for about a decade.
Woodman originally came to KARK in 1970 as a sports director.
Sheats previously contributed Community Service Award nomination reports, in-depth reporting and special projects at KARK. She began at KARK as an anchor in 2005.
KARK, the Arkansas Department of Human Services Division of Volunteerism and the governor’s office have worked together to honor annually the volunteer efforts of people and companies through the awards since 1978.
KARK hosted its most recent awards program July 20 in Conway and will televise the event Aug. 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The top honor, as Distinguished Citizen, went to Arkansas Business Publishing Group Chairman and CEO Olivia Myers Farrell.
