St. Vincent Health System on Monday said it had increases in total operating revenue and earnings from fiscal year 2011 to fiscal year 2012.
In a news release, the health care system said total operating revenue grew about 18 percent from $387 million in fiscal 2011 to $457 million in fiscal 2012. It said earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased by about $6 million from $15.9 million in 2011 to $21.8 in 2012.
St. Vincent said its biggest areas of growth were in the care of heart patients, up 37 percent. It said its cardiovascular surgeons performed 44 percent more surgeries in 2012 than 2011.
Cardiologists also performed 12 percent more diagnostic procedures and treatments for congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valve disease, and heart rhythm anomalies, the health system said.
There are four St. Vincent campuses in Arkansas: St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, St. Vincent North in Sherwood, St. Vincent Morrilton and St. Vincent West in west Little Rock.
