Michael Keck has been named regional sales director at CoreSource of Little Rock.
Background: Michael Keck earned a bachelor's degree in finance in 1984 from Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He also attended a crisis management executive education program at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2002.
Experience: Until 2011, Keck served as city director in Little Rock, a position he was elected to and held for more than 17 years. He also served as vice mayor from 1997-99. He has been chairman of the Little Rock Commission on Children, Youth & Family and served on the boards of the Little Rock Port Authority, MEMS and the National League of Cities. Most recently, Keck was administrative director for external relations at St. Vincent Health System, where he spent almost 10 years providing leadership in the areas of government affairs, corporate relations, medical staff development and managed care contracting.
New Position: In his new position as regional sales director at CoreSource, a national administrator of self-funded employee benefit plans, Keck is responsible for working with insurance brokers in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Missouri to generate new sales within the large employers division.
