The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce is holding its 2012 Business Expo on Thursday at the Conway Expo Center and Fairgrounds.
Organizers promise more than 100 exhibitors under one roof, making this year's event the largest one-day expo the Conway Chamber has hosted. The event includes a breakfast, a business-to-business trade show and the "Taste of Conway."
The expo began at 8 a.m. and continues until 3 p.m. The trade show consists of product demonstrations, business-to-business networking, and the actual selling of products and services.
There's also a lunch presentation. Scott Bennett, director of the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, will speak about an upcoming sales tax election and its potential impact on the Conway area.
Admission to the Expo is free, but the lunch presentation costs $5 to attend.
"Taste of Conway" gives the community the chance to sample some of the best food Conway has to offer. The event takes place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on the floor of Business Expo. More than 500 company representatives and community members will have the opportunity to sample fare from 28 food service providers. Tickets are required to attend and can be purchased for $15 at the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce or at the door.
