The founder of digital ad agency Rockfish Interactive Corp. in Rogers is peddling a new subscription service and got national attention from Ad Age magazine.
The service debuted in September with one employee, chief merchandising officer Claire Kolberg, and is called Blush Box. Its creator is Kenny Tomlin, CEO and founder of nationally respected Rockfish.
“The latest subscription-commerce startup is dedicated to the booming sex-toy and intimacy industry,” Ad Age reported. The magazine dubbed it “Sex in a box.”
Blush Box charges $340 per year for quarterly boxed shipments of lingerie, lotions and other bedroom accessories designed for women “to keep romance alive in a classy, sexy and stylish way,” according to BlushBox.com.
“So, it seemed to me that there was an opportunity to create a classy brand for a rapidly growing industry that also included a subscription commerce capability,” Tomlin explained on his blog.
