Down the Road, UA To Launch Major Capital Campaign

If the University of Arkansas’ plan to launch another major capital campaign (alluded to here in the story about a major budget snafu) comes as news to you, you aren’t alone.
Chancellor G. David Gearhart said the campaign, the first since he led the Campaign for the 21st Century to $1 billion success back in 2005, is in a “quiet phase.”
No fundraising goal has been set, and the project only has a tentative title, “Campaign Arkansas.”
It’s likely to be a several-year undertaking.
The effort will coincide with the university’s sesquicentennial, which, by our math, will happen in 2021.
