In 2011, personal income increased in all of the United States’ 366 metropolitan statistical areas for the first time since 2007, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis reported.
The increase in personal income ranged from 14.8 percent in Odessa, Texas, to 1 percent in Rochester, Minn. For the nation as a whole, personal income increased 5.2 percent in 2011, an improvement from the 3.8 percent rise reported in 2010.
