The Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock will present its eighth annual Nog-off, or eggnog-tasting competition, from 5-8 p.m. Friday. “Celebrity” judges and event attendees will pick two winners.
The competitors are Little Rock’s Capital Bar & Grill, Le Pops, Copper Grill and Loblolly Creamery; Historic Arkansas Museum supporter Bridget Farris; Drue Patton, who works in marketing for the Argenta Arts Foundation in North Little Rock; and Historic Arkansas Museum Director Bill Worthen.
The celebrity tasters will be Phil Brandon of Rock Town Distillery in Little Rock; Kat Robinson, author of the book Arkansas Pie; and home and garden designer P. Allen Smith.
The Little Rock eggnog competition got some national attention, appearing in this month’s issue of Food Network Magazine. The story includes last year’s winning recipe from Capital Bar & Grill bartender David Burnette.
