Bruce C. Alt moves to associate executive director of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. In his new position, Alt will work with Executive Director Barbara Angel to promote the image and professional interests of the society’s more than 3,500 members. After Angel’s retirement, Alt will become executive director on April 1.
Alt graduated with a master’s in business administration from the University of Mississippi and a bachelor’s degree in forest resources management from West Virginia University. He also has completed a professional development program through the Center for Leadership Development’s Institute for Organization Management, sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and is a certified association executive with the American Society of Association Executives.
Most recently, Alt was director of conservation programs at the Mississippi chapter of the Nature Conservancy in Jackson. Prior to that, he served the Mississippi Forestry Association for nearly 10 years as executive vice president and the Forest Resources Association, formerly known as the American Pulpwood Association, for 12 years as south-central technical division manager.
