Did you notice that an Arkansas native appeared in Forbes magazine’s 30 Under 30 feature last month? That Arkansan was 18-year-old Taylor Wilson, who was raised in Nashville (Howard County) and Texarkana.
The kid brainiac built a nuclear fusion reactor at age 14, becoming the youngest person ever to do so. To encourage his talent, Wilson’s family moved him to Reno to study at Davidson Academy of Nevada.
Wilson was among 30 promising young people profiled by Forbes in its “Energy” category. Forbes offers this update on what the Arkansas wunderkind is up to: “Now working on engineering a small neutron-generating device, and plutonium detector to inspect cargo containers. This year he received a Thiel Fellowship.”
