Acxiom Corp. of Little Rock's stock value plummeted about 12 percent Thursday from $18.68 to $16.43.

The slump occurred at about 9 a.m. this morning, and since then the price has climbed back up to about $17.40 as of this writing. The price has not fallen lower than $12.66 in the past year.

Acxiom reported a favorable third quarter yesterday with profits up 83 percent over the previous year.
