A new product in the Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies’ Choice-Dek Foundations line of composite decking materials was introduced this month in 959 Lowe’s stores, according to an announcement from the Springdale manufacturer.
The “speed rail system” includes prepackaged kits designed to make it easier for consumers to buy exactly as much material as they need.
“Carpenters for years have used classic 2x4 wood railing systems. Now ChoiceDek is offering homeowners and building pros the same simplicity in a more durable composite railing system,” Brent Gwatney, senior vice president in charge of sales and marketing for ChoiceDek, said in a news release.
The prepackaged kits include the materials needed for 6-foot sections.
The speed rail kit includes three 6-foot rails; the baluster kit includes 14 balusters, and post sleeves, caps and collars are packaged individually.
ChoiceDek Foundations products are made of wood and plastic composite made of 95 percent recycled materials and embossed to mimic wood grain.
Like all components in the ChoiceDek line, the new railing system comes in three colors.
