Pediatrics Plus has acquired the LearningRx franchise for central Arkansas, it announced Monday.
LearningRx provides "cognitive skills training to children and adults with the purpose of significantly improving brain function," according to a news release.
A purchase price was not disclosed.
Pediatrics Plus offers physical, occupational and speech therapy to children up to 21 years of age and integrated preschool services for kids up to age 6.
Beginning March 4, LearningRx will be located at Pediatric Plus' new $7 million, 31,000-SF facility on Aldersgate Road. The acquisition will bring all LearningRx employees under the Pediatrics Plus umbrella, and will bring the total number of employees to more than 100.
"Pediatrics Plus is always looking for new and innovative ways to address the obstacles that children and families face regarding health, development and education," said Pediatrics Plus owner Amy Denton in the release. "The acquisition of LearningRx provides us with a different approach for many families, when therapy may not be the answer."
