Magic Springs Water & Theme Park last week unveiled plans to open Splash Island on Memorial Day weekend.
Splash Island will be more than four stories tall and feature 10 water slides, a bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons of water every 10 minutes and more than 200 ways to get wet and stay cool this summer, according to a Magic Springs news release.
“We are excited about the impact that Splash Island will have on attracting returning and new visitors to Hot Springs,” said Steve Arrison, CEO of the Hot Springs Convention & Visitors Bureau, in the news release. “As the only water and theme park in our region, the addition of this new attraction will make Magic Springs Water & Theme Park, and Hot Springs, an even more desirable destination.”
The Splash Island expansion is the fourth major attraction added since 2007. Magic Springs Water & Theme Park opens for the 2013 season on April 13. For more information on park pricing, visit MagicSprings.com or call (501) 624-0100
