Dillard’s Inc. of Little Rock said last week that it should have Matthew McConaughey’s initial collection of men’s wear on its floors April 1.
“We will have the collection in 26 states, with Texas having the largest presence,” said Dillard’s spokeswoman Julie Bull in an email to Outtakes.
Bull said a press kit is being developed for the line and didn’t release any further details.
Women’s Wear Daily reported last month that the “Magic Mike” actor is stepping into the fashion world with a sportswear and swimwear line called JKL, which is named after his charity, the Just Keep Livin Foundation of Beverly Hills, Calif.
The mission of the charity is to help high school students “lead active lives and make healthy choices to become great men and women,” according to its website.
WWD said 10 percent of the JKL’s sales will go toward the actor’s charity. The line initially will be exclusive for Dillard’s but then offered to other retailers in the fall, WWD reported.
The collection is being produced by Grand National Apparel Inc. of Toronto, WWD said. A spokesperson for Grand National didn’t immediately return a call for comment.
