Arkansas State University, home to more than 13,000 students representing 58 countries, has a 19:1 student-to-faculty ratio, offers 43 degrees in 156 fields of study and 138 web courses.

Jonesboro is a regional health care destination. There are two major hospitals located in the area offering the latest in medical technology. There are also women’s health care centers, surgical hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, behavioral health hospitals, cancer treatment centers, dialysis centers, general practice medical clinics and dental clinics. All of our facilities are staffed by the finest physicians and medical care staff.

Jonesboro consistently ranks as one of the country’s most cost effective places to live. In the most recent national ranking the city was 12 percent below the national cost of living average and our utility rates are among the lowest in the country.

The Forum, the city’s community theatre, offers six plays a year and The Foundation of Arts provides lessons in dance, art, and theater. The Fowler Center is a state-of-the-art performance facility that hosts more than a dozen professional performances each year as well as performances by the Arkansas State University Theater department.
