The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences said Tuesday that Dr. Debra Fiser, dean of its College of Medicine, will step down as dean April 30 to return full time to the Department of Pediatrics.
UAMS Chancellor Dr. Dan Rahn announced the move in an e-mail. Fiser has been dean of the college for seven years.
A 1977 graduate of the UAMS College of Medicine, Fiser joined the UAMS faculty in 1981. She was professor and chair of the Department of Pediatrics from 1995 until becoming dean and vice chancellor in 2006.
