Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau to Rebrand

The Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced that it will undergo comprehensive rebranding.

According to Director Gretchen Hall, the LRCVB has hired BrandStrategy Inc. of Anacortes, Wash., and MMGY Global of Kansas City, Mo., to perform the job.

Hall said BrandStrategy's process involves several phases starting with assessing the current brand's perceptions with the community. This factor, she said, is what led to the LRCVB choosing the company.

"The selection committee really liked this process, and the philosophy of how it goes about working with the community to create the brand," she said.

MMGY, Hall said, will focus on marketing. Hall said MMGY is the largest marketing firm in the world focused entirely on travel and tourism.

Hall said the LRCVB's rebranding will take the rest of 2013 to implement. The company has already released images of its new logo.

The last time the LRCVB rebranded was about 10 years ago, Hall said, and that time it partnered with Stone Ward of Little Rock.
