For two decades, Arkansas Business has sought out and honored some of the state’s talented citizens with its salute to leaders under 40.

This year’s issue is unique because it not only showcases the 20th class of 40 Under 40 honorees, it also lists the honorees who have been recognized in previous years and provides updates on most of them. (There are 763 previous honorees: In the first class, in 1994, two married couples were recognized together, and in 2012, twin brothers were honored together.)
The 40 Under 40 honorees have distinguished themselves in entrepreneurship, banking, law, real estate, health care, education, politics and many other endeavors. You’ll also notice the honorees represent the four corners of the state — punctuating the fact that our state has talent from border to border.
It’s an honor to be recognized as a member of this prestigious group, men and women who excel in their professions and are helping shape tomorrow’s Arkansas. This year alone, more than 500 leaders throughout the state were nominated, and Arkansas Business staff members spent a considerable amount of time weighing the nominations. It wasn’t an easy process — it never is — but we’re proud of those chosen to represent this 20th class.
