Ankur Sharma has been hired to the new position of vice president of digital technology at Windstream Corp. He will be responsible for all of Windstream’s online customer portals and portal strategy. He joined the company on July 22.
Sharma received a Bachelor of Science in electronics and a master’s degree in computer science and application from Maharshi Dayanand University in India. He has also studied at Harvard University and the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Sharma has digital strategies experience in the telecommunications, online travel and insurance industries. He formerly served as vice president of e-commerce and software engineering for Time Warner Cable. Before joining Time Warner in 2011, he held various management positions with Plymouth Rock Corp. and Priceline.com.
