The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board is investigating the death of a patron of the Hooters in Fayetteville, KFSM-TV, Channel 5 is reporting.
We noted earlier this week that Hooters was closing its restaurant on North Shiloh Drive, just a couple of weeks after after Gilbert Flores, 34, left the restaurant and was run over twice trying to cross the street. Flores didn't survive his injuries.
Now, ABC officials are waiting on crime lab results to decide whether it will take disciplinary action against the restaurant:
... the ABC is trying to figure out how much Flores had been drinking at the restaurant. Police said they suspect Flores was intoxicated at the time of the crash and took blood samples. ABC officials are waiting on the results of those samples, [Rick] Crisman [of the ABC] said.
If the samples show Flores was intoxicated, the Hooters could face disciplinary actions from the state if evidence shows it served an intoxicated customer.
That could include yanking the restaurant's alcohol permit.
Meanwhile, the restaurant said it's not closing, just moving locations. An employee told the Northwest Arkansas Business Journal last week that there was an issue with the restaurant's lease.
