Dawn Prasifka became CEO of the Girl Scouts’ Diamonds Council last month.
For the past seven years, Prasifka has been executive director of the Centers for Youth & Families Foundation in Little Rock, where her cultivation of donors increased donations an average of 9 percent annually and she secured the largest cash and property gifts in the organization’s history. She has a bachelor’s degree from Southeast Missouri State University.
Prasifka was honored by the Arkansas chapter of the Association of Professional Fundraisers as Arkansas’ Outstanding Fundraising Professional of 2012. She was recognized in Little Rock Soiree magazine as one of Little Rock’s “Power Women” in 2008, and was featured in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s “High Profile” in March 2009. She is a graduate of Leadership Greater Little Rock.
As CEO of the Girl Scouts’ Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma & Texas, Prasifka will lead an organization serving 9,000 girls through the services of 3,700 volunteers. The Diamonds Council comprises all counties in Arkansas except Crittenden, three counties in Oklahoma and two counties in Texas. “I am eager to engage staff, volunteers and partners as we empower girls to take the lead in their own lives and make a difference in their communities,” Prasifka said in a news release.
