Magellan Midstream Partners LP of Tulsa, Okla., this week announced it was assessing customer interest in a 160-mile pipeline transporting petroleum products to Little Rock.
According to a release, the 12-inch diameter line would be able to transport 75,000 barrels per day of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel from the company's terminal in Fort Smith. If complete, the Little Rock market would then gain access to mid-continent and gulf coast refineries.
Subject to customer reaction and obtaining of permits and regulatory approval, the line could be operational by the third quarter of 2015.
The company stated that its potential customers must submit commitments by Oct. 16.
